Google has moved to become renewable energy efficient.

Google has sourced the next 12 year energy need by proposed Norwegian wind power farm, which will help to power its European data centers, recent sources have been confirmed.

The 160 megawatt capacity Tellenes power plant is situated at south of Stavanger and expected to be fully operational in late 2017, and when complete, it would be the largest wind farm in the Nordic country. Google has planned to operate 100 % of its operation on renewable energy, and it is the first wind power deal in Norway and biggest in Europe.

The project is backed by BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager and will provide equity finance for the project. The value of the project is not disclosed yet.
